stephanie yang

stephanie started making films 2 years ago as a way to challenge her art, her voice and deepen her commitment to increasing awareness to social justice and human rights. she studied film theory in grad school and had no idea how transformative making a film would be until she created her first piece in 2003. she is a writer, a collage artist, and a dreamer. her work is about challenging assumptions and telling stories that lead to greater equity and truth in the communities around her. stephanie is the founder of shiftingnarratives.com.

tina bartolome

born and raised in san francisco, california to immigrant parents from the philippines and switzerland, tina bartolome has worked as an educator and cultural worker in the bay area youth movement since 1994. an emerging writer and filmmaker, her work is witness to the beauty, pain and transformation existing in the margins. she is a proud member of kreatibo, a queer pinay artist collective.
